Justin Timberlake has extended an apology to his fans after canceling a concert in New Jersey, citing an unspecified injury. The Selfish singer took to Instagram, expressing regret over postponing the Newark show, sharing that the injury is preventing him from performing.

Though disappointed, Timberlake reassured fans that he’s actively working to reschedule and promised to deliver the show they deserve. He also thanked followers for their patience and ongoing support.

Currently on his expansive Forget Tomorrow World Tour, Timberlake’s next performance is slated for October 11 at the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia. However, last month, Timberlake faced legal troubles, pleading guilty to a lesser charge after his June arrest in the Hamptons for driving while intoxicated.

He accepted responsibility for driving while impaired—a noncriminal traffic violation—urging the public not to drive under the influence, no matter how little they’ve had to drink.

Timberlake’s lawyer, Edward Burke Jr., reiterated that Timberlake wasn’t intoxicated during his arrest, maintaining he only had one drink over two hours.

Despite this, Sag Harbor authorities suspended Timberlake’s New York driver’s license after the singer was stopped in his BMW for failing to observe a stop sign. An investigation revealed he had been driving while impaired.

Meanwhile, Timberlake continues to make waves musically. In March, he dropped his sixth solo album, Everything I Thought It Was, led by the hit single Selfish. This release marks his first since 2018’s Man of the Woods.
